Max Mosley is the former president of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) - the governing body of Formula 1.

Max says Formula 1 could be run at a fraction of its current cost if teams did not insist on spending large sums on money making minor alterations to cars and components. At present, only the top Formula 1 teams turn a decent profit, leaving others to struggle financially.

Teams would be more financially stable if spending limits were imposed on teams, but profit is not the point of Formula 1, says Max - winning is the only thing that counts.
