Indonesia hit by soaring beef price

The Indonesian government's decision to reduce the import of cattle from Australia has led to a sharp increase in the price of beef.

The government's aim was to boost local industry, but the soaring cost means many consumers can no longer afford it.

The government has now said it will allow a temporary increase in the number of Australian cattle imports.
