Election 2015 smaller parties: Animal Welfare Party

The leader of the Animal Welfare Party introduced a new concept to the election debate: a "speciesist way of thinking".

Vanessa Hudson compared her "social justice movement" to the campaigns for women's rights and civil rights.

Ms Hudson told Andrew Neil there were one billion animals living in Britain, and they do not have any representation.

The Animal Welfare Party is campaigning to increase penalties for those convicted of animal cruelty and has four candidates standing in the general election.
