A Plaid Cymru candidate has apologised for a leaflet that wrongly claimed he was seeking re-election.
Cerith Griffiths is standing in Cynon Valley and has not served as an AM before.
But an election communication from him used the phrase "if you re-elect me as your assembly member".
In a statement on Facebook, external he said: "I am sincerely sorry that this happened. It was a genuine mistake."
Vikki Howells, the Labour candidate for the area, wrote on Facebook she was "shocked" to discover the leaflets.
But it is understood Labour will not be taking the matter further following the apology.
Mr Griffiths said he accepted full responsibility for the error.
Ms Howells was selected to run for Labour in the constituency after the former Labour AM Christine Chapman announced she was standing down.
Other candidates in Cynon Valley are:
Lyn Hudson, Welsh Conservatives
John Matthews, Wales Green Party
Michael Wallace, Welsh Liberal Democrats
Liz Wilks, UKIP Wales
