Rudd: I don't 'underestimate' importance of EU crime tools

The UK could be "cut off" from an EU-wide crime and security database after Brexit, the Liberal Democrats have warned.

But the home secretary told the Today programme the government does not "underestimate" the importance of EU instruments in keeping people safe.

Amber Rudd said they would be looking to strike a deal with the European Union that means both sides would retain access to information.
