US election: Will Trump pull GOP candidates down with him?

Donald Trump is trailing in the polls, but will his unpopularity also harm other Republicans running for office this year?

In an effort to limit the fallout from Trump's tanking numbers, a number of Republican candidates for the House and Senate have recently distanced themselves from him.

But that causes its own problems, as many voters who support Trump are quick to condemn other Republicans for being disloyal.
