US midterm election 2022 results

The Republicans have taken control of the House of Representatives after they passed the threshold of 218 seats.

Democrats have retained control of the Senate by gaining the state of Pennsylvania from the Republicans.

State results list

States have been listed based on how they were expected to vote before election night.

The "Competitive" states are those where either party could win, while "Lean" shows where it is more likely that one particular party will win. The "Solid" states are where it is much more likely that one party will win.

A good sign a party is doing well is if they win states that are not expected to go their way. The column called % EXP shows how many of the total expected votes have been counted so far.
