US actress Frances McDormand is to chair the jury at this year's San Sebastian Film Festival, to be held in northern Spain later this month.
She will join a panel that includes Guillermo Arriaga, screenwriter of Babel and Amores Perros, and the British actress Sophie Okonedo.
McDormand won an Oscar for her role in Fargo and was seen this summer in the third Transformers film.
The annual festival, founded in 1953, runs from 16 to 24 September.
The other jury members this year are the film directors Alex de la Iglesia and Bent Hamer, Chinese actress Bai Ling and French cinematographer Sophie Maintigneux.
Films showing at the festival include Martin Scorsese's documentary George Harrison: Living in the Material World, The Deep Blue Sea starring Rachel Weisz and Julie Delpy's Le Skylab.
Glenn Close, whose latest film Albert Nobbs will also be screened, will be presented with a lifetime achievement award on 18 September.
Set in 19th Century Ireland, Albert Nobbs sees the Hollywood actress play a woman who disguises herself as a man.
