Classical music to inspire children

The Simon Bolivar Orchestra has gone from strength to strength in Venezuela in recent years and is now making a mark on the wider world of classical music.

It emerged through a radical programme of music education, called El Sistema, which gives children from poorer backgrounds the opportunity to learn instruments from a very young age.

Conductor Gustavo Dudamel spoke to The Andrew Marr Show.
