James Mylne: Creating art with ballpoint pens

London artist James Mylne has been creating photorealistic artwork using Bic ballpoint pens for 15 years.

Individual works often take hours to complete, with each piece requiring intense concentration, as mistakes cannot be rectified.

Mylne's current show, Vintage Vogue, focuses on the elegance and style of female icons of the 1940s, '50s and '60s, including Audrey Hepburn. Here, the artist talks through the techniques of how he creates his artwork.
