In Pictures: Stars attend 2013 Tony Awards

Neil Patrick Harris hosted the Tony Awards for the fourth time in New York. During the three-hour show he danced, rapped and was licked by the canine star of Annie.
Musical Kinky Boots lead the field, winning six awards. Based on the 2005 British film about about a failing shoe factory that turns to making drag queen boots, it features songs by pop star Cyndi Lauper. The awards included best musical, best original score and best leading man.
Patina Miller (left) won best performance by a leading actress in a musical for Pippin, while 88-year-old Cicely Tyson won best performance by a leading actress in a play for The Trip to Bountiful. Billy Porter took home the award for best performance by a leading actor in a musical for Kinky Boots.
Matilda the Musical picked up four awards, as well as an honorary award for the four actresses who play the lead role. The cast also performed on stage during the show.
Gabriel Ebert won best featured actor in a musical for his role in Matilda. He thanked his four lead co-stars and his parents.
Presenters included Jake Gyllenhaal, who presented the award for best leading actress in a play and Matthew Broderick, who announced best leading actor.
Scarlett Johansson and Scottish actor Alan Cumming presented awards and chatted in the green room before going on stage.
Ugly Betty actress Judith Light won best performance by a featured actress in a play for a second consecutive year for her role in The Assembled Parties.
Glee star Jane Lynch performed on stage with the cast of Annie. The actress made her Broadway debut as Miss Hannigan on the show in May.
Tom Hanks was nominated for best actor in a play for his Broadway debut in Lucky Guy, but he lost out to Tracy Letts, previously a Tony-winning playwright, for his performance in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
