Sarah Harding will make her theatre debut in a new production of Ghost The Musical.

The former member of Girls Aloud will play Molly - the character portrayed by Demi Moore in the original film.

Andy Moss, best known as Rhys Ashworth in Channel 4's Hollyoaks, will play Sam - the role made famous on the big screen by Patrick Swayze.

Harding said she was "absolutely delighted" to be making her theatre debut.

"The film is one of my all-time favourites, so to get the opportunity to play Molly in Bill Kenwright's new production is a huge honour and I can't wait to get started," she said.

After its short run at the New Wimbledon Theatre in September, Ghost the Musical will tour the UK - ending in Nottingham in December.

The film of Ghost, which also starred Whoopi Goldberg and Tony Goldwyn, was originally released in 1990 and became the highest grossing film of the year.

Goldberg went on to win the Oscar for best supporting actress for her performance.
