Figures obtained by the BBC have revealed a recruitment crisis in the NHS.

A Freedom of Information request shows more than two thirds of trusts and health boards across the UK are actively trying to recruit from abroad as they struggle to cope with a shortage of qualified staff.

The United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust has been to Manila in the Philippines to try and find some much needed nurses.

Staff from the trust interviewed more than 200 potential nurses over four days.
