Charlie Gard case: These aren't easy for anybody

A High Court Judge has ruled that a baby with a rare genetic condition should have his life support withdrawn.

Specialists at Great Ormond Street Hospital said eight-month-old Charlie Gard has irreversible brain damage and should be moved to palliative care.

His parents Connie Yates and Chris Gard had wanted to take their son to the US for a treatment trial.

Laura Hobey-Hamsay, the solicitor for Charlie's parents, tells Today the parents couldn’t understand why their son "wouldn’t be offered a chance, even if just a small one".
