Although we do not know yet the cause of the crash, Toronto Pearson International Airport had been experiencing many delays because of winter weather.
Toronto has been recovering after back-to-back storms blanketed the city, with road conditions still bad in some places.
Pearson had cancelled or delayed hundreds of flights over the weekend and into Monday,
Two storms - one on Wednesday and one on Sunday - covered the city with a total of 30-50 centimeters.
And high winds today whipped much of that snow into the air, causing flurries.
According to CBS, at the time of crash there had been light snow falling and crosswinds of up to 40 MPH (64 KPH).
