We've just had this from Air India on X: "Flight AI171, operating Ahmedabad-London Gatwick, was involved in an incident today, 12 June 2025.
"At this moment, we are ascertaining the details and will share further updates at the earliest."
A plane has crashed near the airport in Ahmedabad, western India.
There are reports the plane was heading to the UK - that has not been confirmed.
According to Reuters news agency, which cites police, 242 passengers were on board the flight.
