    There are not many queuing for cancelled Gatwick trains at London Victoria station, but there are a few people around and police officers are manning the barriers here.

    Trains are still not calling at Gatwick but are running through the airport station, albeit very delayed.

    Station announcements here are advising people not to travel towards the area and wait at Victoria for now.

    So far, the airport has confirmed that the North Terminal is not affected by the South Terminal evacuation, and that incoming planes are able to land.

    National Rail says no services will now be stopping at Gatwick, as police continue to investigate the incident which led to the evacuation of the airport's South Terminal.

    Southern Rail has advised passengers not to travel to Gatwick, with a spokesperson saying: "At present, the station and airport are being evacuated whilst the police are dealing with an incident," they said.

    "We would recommend delaying your journey until later this morning."

    Thameslink, Southern and Gatwick Express services are all affected at the moment.

    London Gatwick Airport's South Terminal was evacuated at 10:55GMT this morning following a security incident.

    Incoming planes are still able to land at the airport at the moment.

    The airport says the evacuation is a precaution while it investigates, with passengers unable to enter the South Terminal while the investigation is in progress.

    The airport says the North Terminal is operating normally.

    National Rail says no trains will be stopping at the airport station while the incident is investigated.

    The Gatwick Express rail service, which serves the airport from central London and England's south coast, will not be serving the airport "until further notice", according to an official post on X.

    The station which serves the airport has also been evacuated and passengers are advised to delay their journeys until later this morning.

    Passengers on their way to Gatwick had initially been advised to travel to nearby stations and get a bus, but local busses are now also affected by the security incident and unable to run to Gatwick Airport.
