I am confident President-elect Donald Trump will come to LA, mayor sayspublished at 17:05 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January
We can bring you some more now from Mayor Karen Bass, who was asked if she has any "concern about animosity" from the incoming administration and President-elect Donald Trump towards California and its efforts to fight the fire.
"Actually, I'm not worried about that," Bass says, and that they had a "fine call" with the administration on Saturday.
She says she believes he is expected to go to LA, but LA County Board of Supervisors chair Kathryn Barger steps in and interrupts.
"I will say, knowing what I know... I am confident that this president will come." Bass says her conversation yesterday was "throwing around points of time".
When asked if she has spoken to Trump himself, she says she has not had a conversation "directly" with him, only with his administration.
Barger says she has the same experience, "but there is no question in my mind that we will be touching base with him."
