    At 13:34 BST this afternoon Birmingham Airport announced it was suspending operations, with buildings evacuated.

    This is what we know so far:

    • West Midlands Police has said the airport was being evacuated as a precaution after a report of a suspicious vehicle.
    • The airport said police were dealing with an incident and advised passengers not to come into the airport.
    • The airport has also advised people due to get on flights to contact their airline and wait for updates.

    Transport for West Midlands has said buses are unable to stop at the airport for the time being, but Birmingham International stops are being served as normal.
