Talk about starting them off young...

One of the first customers to get some of the merchandise on sale here in Queen Victoria Square was baby Ronnie. His babygro says he's one of the club's youngest fans. And he probably is...

He was born on 5 June and his mum was delighted she got out of hospital on the evening of 6 June in time to watch Hull KR in the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley the next day on TV.

Sophie Curl and Tracey Curl have come down early to get a good spot.

Tracey says: "We want a good spot to soak up the atmosphere. There'll be about a dozen of us.

"I've supported this team [for] 40 years. I was there in the 1980s when they were winning everything and I wanted my kids to experience what I experienced. This is history in the making!"

Hull KR fans are already starting to gather in Hull's Queen Victoria Square - many sitting on benches and having some lunch while they wait for the celebrations to start here.

Several banners are already up, including one on the balcony of Hull City Hall, which says "treble winners 2025". Another simply says "winners".

Don't Stop Believing by Journey and Don't Stop Me Now by Queen have been playing on the huge speakers.

Later, no doubt, crowds will be joining in and singing along but for now everyone is just enjoying the sun.

  11. How the drama unfoldedpublished at 14:22 BST 12 October

Hull KR became only the fifth team to ever win a Super League Grand Final as they put in a stunning performance to beat Wigan Warriors at Old Trafford and seal a historic treble, writes BBC Sport's Jay Freeman.

Brad O'Neill's first-half yellow card for a tip tackle on Tyrone May proved decisive, with Mikey Lewis and Joe Burgess running in while the Cherry and Whites were depleted.

Harry Smith touched down to claw down the gap for Wigan but Jez Litten spotted a gap to run through and Burgess scored a second try late on to wrap up a first league championship triumph for Hull KR since 1984.
