    Lewis dancing

Lewis brought real Old Hollywood style to this elegant dance - moving around the floor with real confidence.

Much less flamboyant than his previous dances full of flips and lifts, this is a classy routine fitting of the classic song.

Shirley says the judges have for weeks been asking him not to throw the "kitchen sink" at his routines - and that’s what he’s done. “First class” is how she describes it.

“For me, you are the couple,” Motsi adds.

    Drumroll… here are the scores:

    Craig: 8

    Motsi: 9

    Shirley: 9

    Anton: 8

    Total: 34

  2. Will Lewis and Katya inch closer to the perfect 40?published at 19:10 BST 18 October

It's actor Lewis Cope up next, with partner Katya Jones. Cope is perhaps become the one to beat, after he nabbed the first 10 of the series last week with his Zorro-themed Paso Doble.

The Emmerdale actor's leaderboard-topping score of 37 didn't exactly leave much room for improvement.

But, with a Foxtrot to the iconic L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole tonight, could he inch even closer to that perfect 40?

    Let's find out.

  3. Stefan performs a Charleston fit for an actorpublished at 19:08 BST 18 October

    Stefan and Diann

Stefan said he was really looking forward to getting back out on the floor - but he did appear somewhat nervous when it came down to it.

It was, however, a dance fit for an actor, with Stefan and Dianne full of character - and there were a few lively tricks in there among the rather quick steps.

Shirley said Stefan had come "back with a bang” and had pushed his limits with the difficult routine.

As they ran up the stairs to get their scores, Dianne told her partner: “I told you you could do it!”

    Here's how they fared:

    Craig: 5

    Motsi: 7

    Shirley: 7

    Anton: 7

    Total: 26

And with that, they also hit their highest score of the series so far.

Next up, it's actor and Neighbours star Stefan Dennis, who's returning to the dance floor after missing last week's show due to illness.

There's no rest for the wicked, though, as he makes his comeback tonight with a lively Charleston to Dance Monkey by Tones And I.

He scored a 17 in weeks one and two - we'll find out shortly if he and Dianne manage a bit more love from the judges this time around.

  5. Vicky delivers a fun, confident Sambapublished at 18:57 BST 18 October

    Vicky and Kai

Vicky said her confidence was knocked somewhat last week - but you wouldn't have known from her Samba.

She started the dance on her own before strutting over to Kai, and the pair then spun their way across the floor with plenty of fun and character.

It wouldn't be Strictly without this many body rolls and dips.

Anton branded it an “absolutely marvellous” dance - but said he was “done” with Vicky being nervous and urged her to cut loose.

“This is great, but what you could deliver? Wow.”

    Let’s get the scores:

    Craig: 7

    Motsi: 7

    Shirley: 7

    Anton: 8

    Total: 29

It's their best score of the series so far.

  6. It's a Samba to Madonna for Vicky Pattinsonpublished at 18:52 BST 18 October

TV star Vicky Pattinson hasn't been shy about how nerve-racking she finds the Strictly floor.

Tonight, she'll need to set that fear aside once again for a Samba to La Isla Bonita by Madonna.

Vicky may be a slow burner - with her score increasing by just one point from week to week, reaching 25 last Saturday - but she's earned praise from the judges.

Time now to see if she and Kai can pull themselves even further up that leaderboard.

  7. Harry takes on more serious, passionate personapublished at 18:50 BST 18 October

    Harry and Karen

The typically effusive Harry gave us a different kind of performance tonight, embodying a more serious, passionate character.

"I'm a bit embarrassed," he joked with Tess after finishing.

But it seemed to have gone down well in the studio - earning him a standing ovation.

"It's not often we get a standing ovation for a rumba," Tess Daley says.

While Anton and Craig said they would have liked a bit more movement through the hips, it was a positive reaction from the panel on the whole, who especially praised his chemistry with Karen.

Let’s take a look at the scores:

    Craig: 6

    Motsi: 7

    Shirley: 6

    Anton: 7

    Total: 26

We've got two Rumbas tonight - this time from Olympian and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.

His crowd-pleasing, Lion King-themed Salsa last week will be tough to beat. It earned him straight eights from the judges and saw him dubbed "extraordinary" by head judge Shirley.

He and Karen will be dropping the pace for their Rumba to It Must Have Been Love by Roxette - but they'll be hoping not to drop a single point.

  9. Karen and Carlos open the show with a pacey Quicksteppublished at 18:41 BST 18 October

    Karen Carney

Karen and Carlos certainly didn't hold back with their pacey Quickstep, which saw them skip their way across the Strictly floor.

The former Lioness said she wanted everyone to get up and party with her and Carlos tonight - and the personality-filled routine was indeed met with a warm reception from the live audience.

Motsi praised Karen's confidence, attack and “sass” - while Shirley congratulated her for recovering well from a small slip. Now, how do they score?

    Craig: 6

    Motsi: 7

    Shirley: 7

    Anton: 7

    Total: 27

Former England women's captain Karen Carney stormed into the series with her first dance - an explosive Jive - dubbed the performance of the evening by the judges.

Lioness Carney will be hoping to return to those heights now with a Quickstep to Marvellous Party by Beverley Knight.

She and Carlos scored 25 last week with a Cha Cha Cha. Can she top that tonight?

The four Strictly Come Dancing judges

Let’s take a close look at the all-star panel in Strictly Come Dancing.

Shirley Ballas: Became head judge in 2017, after a dancing career that saw her win nearly every major title she competed in.

She remains the youngest ever female to reach the British Open to the World Dance Championship finals.

Motsi Mabuse: The South African professional dancer joined the glittering panel in 2019 after appearing on Germany’s equivalent, Let’s Dance.

Craig Revel Horwood: On the contest since the very first series in 2004, and renowned for leaving celebrities in absolutely no doubt when he witnesses “a dance di-sah-ster dahling”.

Anton Du Beke: When not making music or hosting Saturday night entertainment show Hole in the Wall, Du Beke has made himself at home on the ballroom floor.

A fan favourite as a professional dancer, Du Beke never won Strictly - though he did make the final in 2019 - before becoming a permanent judge in 2021.

  16. Stefan Dennis reveals he had 'an episode with vertigo' last weekpublished at 18:08 BST 18 October

Stefan Dennis and Dianne Buswell in It Takes Two

Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis (left in the above picture) missed last week's show due to illness.

Appearing on Strictly’s spin-off show It Takes Two, he said he had “a little bit of an episode with vertigo”.

“But it was all OK, I made myself right again with the help of some good people at the hospital.”

Calling in sick is never a barrel of laughs, but it did give Stefan the chance to get a new perspective on the show.

“It was an odd experience. In one sense I was watching all my new mates on the telly,” he said. “But at the same time I was absolutely gobsmacked at the level of talent that was on the dance floor.”

Welcome to our live page covering the latest from the ballroom at Strictly Come Dancing.

Last week was Movie Week, and we bumped into some familiar faces - Barbie, James Bond and Mary Poppins all made an appearance.

Zorro, otherwise known as Lewis Cope, dazzled the judges with a brilliant 37 points, even bagging the first 10 of the series from Motsi Mabuse.

Meanwhile, the less fortunate Thunderbird pilot, Ross King, only managed 19 and was ultimately eliminated.

We’ll miss Ross, but let’s be honest – as the series goes on, the competition gets fiercer and the dances get better.

So, what visual treats are in store for us tonight? Stick with us and watch along.
