  2. Mr Blobby: Terrifying or a tour de force?published at 12:13 British Summer Time 7 September

    Lewis Adams
    Reporting from Essex

Don't ask me why, but I was absolutely terrified of Mr Blobby as a child.

There's something about his eyes that were enough to unsettle me aged three.

My editor, Orla, is of a much different opinion, however.

"He bakes. He sings. He's a tour de force!" - is the message I've just received.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

Mr Blobby in his pink outfit with yellow dots dances behind a glittery silver DJ desk. He is next to Fearne Cotton, who wears a black bucket hat and is smiling.

  5. Want the highlights from Saturday? We've got you coveredpublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 7 September

The team at BBC iPlayer have been hard at work clipping up the must watch moments from yesterday.

You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone in the crowd who wasn't singing along to Belinda Carlisle's Heaven is a Place on Earth.

There were goosebumps all round when Stereophonics began to play their hit anthem Dakota.

Marti Pellow made sure to give the crowd Love is all Around, which spent 15 weeks as UK number one.

If it's Jessie J you're after, she belted out the instantly-recognisable Price Tag.

Talking of belting songs out, Ella Henderson smashed it with Ghost.

Ronan Keating wasn't messing about when it came to singing hit Life is a Rollercoaster.

And Kid Creole & the Coconuts turned it on big time with Annie, I'm Not Your Daddy

Have you managed to recover yet from Saturday's performances?

I'm not sure we have - so many of those sets were phenomenal!

We were delighted by the likes of Ella Henderson, Marti Pellow, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, Jessie J, Ronan Keating and Belinda Carlisle.

Headliner Bryan Adams then blew away the huge crowd here in Essex.

You can watch the highlights in the video at the top of this page, or scroll back to see how it all unfolded in real time.

  8. 'I'm ready to do it all again today!'published at 12:00 British Summer Time 7 September

    Elliot Deady
    Reporting from Hylands Park

Wow - what a day Saturday was.

It was full of great vibes, great music and great weather - made even better by a surprise performance by my favourite Spice Girl.

I racked up almost 22,000 steps, so climbing into bed was a very welcome feeling.

But I'm ready to do it all again today, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I might meet Anastacia!

Jessie J spoke openly during her set at Hylands Park

Chelmsford has partied hard today at Hylands Park during Radio 2 in the Park.

While the party isn't quite over for the weekend, it has been quite a day here.

The day started strongly with a performance from Stereophonics and there was even a fan in the crowd who was seeing them for the 21st time!

Ella Henderson was next on stage, belting out numerous hits, before Marti Pellow wowed the crowd in his glorious kilt and spoke of his love for Essex.

Kid Creole and the Coconuts was next, jamming away and giving off positive vibes, ahead of Essex's own Jessie J, who was open about her recent breast cancer surgery.

Ronan Keating then had everyone singing about life being a rollercoaster, followed by Belinda Carlisle giving a majestic performance with her songs Heaven Is a Place on Earth and Circle in the Sand.

Finally, Bryan Adams offered the crowd epic guitar riffs, banging tunes, a cameo from Mel C, and he wowed the crowd with his best known song, Summer Of '69.

It is hard to describe just how good today was and we cannot wait to do it all again with you tomorrow!

  13. Superfan gives Bryan Adams a 10 out of 10published at 21:55 British Summer Time 6 September

    Elliot Deady
    Reporting from Hylands Park

Earlier we spoke to Lorraine Lodge, 59, from Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, who has seen Bryan Adams a whopping 80 times.

So how did she find tonight's performance?

She says it was “just as good as ever, 10 out of 10, as usual".

  14. Bryan Adams has left the buildingpublished at 21:52 British Summer Time 6 September

That is it, it is all over for the night.

What a song to end it on. Summer of '69 was phenomenal and I'm sure Bryan Adams and his band will be pleased with the crowd's reaction.

Adams thanks his band and the crowd at the end of his set, and they respond with an almighty roar that I am sure could be heard all over Chelmsford.

The band bows and the drummer throws his sticks into the crowd.

How do we all recover after that?

  15. Can we convince Bryan to come back to Essex?published at 21:48 British Summer Time 6 September

    Alice Cunningham
    BBC News, Essex

I grew up listening to Bryan Adams thanks to my parents' love for the Canadian singer.

While I am not at Hylands Park tonight and instead am watching from elsewhere in Essex, if there is one thing I am sure of, it is that I must see him live in the next few years.

I am blown away by his performance.

He has barely spoken to the crowd but they are like putty in his hands, responding to every song, guitar riff and drum beat.

Please come back to Essex, Bryan!

  16. Summer of '69 is here!published at 21:46 British Summer Time 6 September

The banger that is Summer of '69 is rolled out.

Everyone is going mad and Bryan lets the crowd sing the first few bars alone.

This might be his final song and what a way to finish!

  17. Captivating stage presencepublished at 21:45 British Summer Time 6 September

Now 65-years-old, Bryan Adams's stage presence is still as amazing as it was 30 years ago.

It is not hard to see why he was given the nickname The Groover from Vancouver all those years ago.

  18. Crowd sings (Everything I Do) I Do It For Youpublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 6 September

The crowd immediately responds when Bryan Adams begins his next song, the classic (Everything I Do) I Do It For You.

He leaves them to sing the chorus on their own. And they do not need any encouragement.

While it is a slower-paced song, the audience is still screaming and dancing.

  19. Mel C and Bryan Adams looked amazingpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 6 September

Mel C and Byran Adams sing to each other on stage. A large crowd can be seen behind them along with a ferris wheel.

Mel C was only on stage for one song but she and Bryan Adams looked great together.

Can we get an encore, Mel?

  20. What a sight!published at 21:20 British Summer Time 6 September

Topless men, and women in just their bras in the crowd. This really is quite something happening during the Bryan Adams set.

At least there is no rain this evening!
