  1. Holding the country to ransom?published at 11:37

Are you trying to hold the country to ransom, Nicola Sturgeon is asked by BBC correspondent James Cook. I'm not seeking to impose my views on anybody, she says, adding that she wants to build common cause with people of like mind across the UK to win more progressive change.

Nicola Sturgeon is getting the rock star treatment. The speech can be summed up in two words, he says, fear and friendship. The argument of David Cameron is that voters should fear the influence but Nicola Sturgeon is saying she holds out a hand of friendship to everyone in the UK, insisting her policies are to the benefit of everyone in the UK.

Our correspondent notes that a lot of the policies - such as the 50p tax rate and the minimum wage - are in line with a lot of Labour's policies. But, there are some that are much harder for Ed Miliband to agree to, including the call to end austerity and to scrap Trident.

The big question is: how do voters outside of Scotland view her?

Nicola Sturgeon asks for the media to be treated with respect as they ask questions - just like Ed Miliband did at his manifesto launch last week. You might remember one or two journalists getting a bit of a rough ride at the UKIP launch.

  6. Making Scotland stronger?published at 11:30

In her final remarks, Nicola Sturgeon declares; "My vow is to make Scotland stronger at Westminster. To the people of Scotland, with your support on May 7 we can secure a much better future for you, your family and for Scotland."

  8. Sturgeon calling Cameronpublished at 11:30

This election is not about independence, Nicola Sturgeon says - although the very mention of independence brings whoops and cheers. She says the SNP will demand that the proposals of the Smith Commission on Scottish devolution are delivered in full. And in a direct message to David Cameron, the SNP leader says: "We will oppose any effort to undermine the Scottish Parliament."

So SNP backs Labour on 50p tax, mansion tax, bankers bonus, scrapping "bedroom tax" but Labour would need - and get - Tory support for Trident

  15. SNP pledgespublished at 11:26

The SNP will protect the winter fuel allowance, as well as increases in tax credits and child benefits - at least in line with inflation, Nicola Sturgeon promises. The party also backs action to reduce energy bills and abolish benefit changes known as the "spare room subsidy" - or dubbed the "bedroom tax" by Labour. The money would be used to tackle food poverty, which is such a "scandal" in our rich country she tells a very appreciative audience.

  19. Sturgeon pledges more NHS fundingpublished at 11:21

    Nicola Sturgeon

On the NHS, the SNP leader promises it the funding it needs - pledging to increase funding by £24bn by 2020-21. She criticises Labour for having "failed" to guarantee the £8bn the NHS needs, and says David Cameron has not said how he will pay for his commitments. Both parties are "selling the NHS short".

SNP MPs will vote against any "privatisation" of the NHS and back any moves to restore it to "a fully public service", Ms Sturgeon promises.
