  1. Corbyn denies he is fixated on Londonpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 10 May 2017

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has dismissed Theresa May's jibe that his campaign visits were limited to within 25 miles of London.

Speaking in Rotherham, Mr Corbyn said: "We're going round all the Conservative-held constituencies as well as some of our Labour constituencies in our campaign bus.

"On Monday I was in Leamington Spa, now that doesn't reek of a Labour name does it?

"I was in Elmet and Rothwell earlier today, I was in Morley and Outwood last night, and we're going to be in lots of marginals."

Mrs May had said on a visit to Mansfield: "I've been all around the country.

"I think if you look at what my rivals have done, I think I'm right in saying that a significant number of Mr Corbyn's visits have actually been within 25 miles of Islington whereas I've been across the country."

  2. Secret of the Conservative election strategypublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 10 May 2017

  6. Corbyn stresses the need for 'managed migration'published at 19:37 British Summer Time 10 May 2017

During his campaign stop in Rotherham Jeremy Corbyn has been explaining why he supports a policy of managed migration to the UK.

"If all European nationals weren't in Britain, our NHS would be in a bit of a state - with the number of EU nationals working within it," he said.

"So we have to have a managed migration system, based on the needs of our community, and family reunions."

The Newcastle-under-Lyme Labour party offices are located in Dunkirk Road.

The party's candidate, Paul Farrelly - its MP since 2001 - is keeping calm and carrying on in the face of an attack from his well-funded political opponents, the Conservatives.

But while Labour has been in retreat in the constituency in recent elections, this time he's finding it more difficult to get rescued from the prospect of defeat.

Deputy political editor John Pienaar says it's now clear Labour's election manifesto will take the party closer towards Jeremy Corbyn's goal - which he stated during his own campaign to become party leader - of promising free university tuition.

He says abolishing tuition fees in higher education would be an expensive commitment - on one estimate costing £11bn.

However, the details of the plan and Labour's proposals for meeting the cost, have yet to emerge.
