    Jeremy Corbyn confirmed tonight that he remained a member of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. Speaking to Channel Four News, Mr Corbyn said: "I've been a member all my life".

    But pressed on how that personal outlook squared with Labour's defence policy - including as it did a renewal of the Trident nuclear weapons system - he added simply: "It was voted on at Labour conference".

    The Labour leader went on: "I want to see a nuclear free world and I'll do everything I can to  to work through the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and point out to people the horrors of what a nuclear war means....We have a responsibility - all of us - to bring about a peaceful world. That is my priority."

    Any Questions is now starting on BBC Radio 4. On the panel tonight are Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott, Lib Dem Sir Vince Cable, Jonathan Bartley, co-leader of the Green Party and the Conservative's policing minister Brandon Lewis.

    The first question is about the cyber attack hindering the NHS across the country and about investment.

    Sir Vince says that vast amount of money have been spent on the NHS "often with disastrous consequences".

    However, he said he was surprised by this attack because he said when the Lib Dems were part of the coalition government he says "a lot of attention" was paid to cyber security.

    The Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, has delivered a major speech on defence and foreign policy - insisting that he is not a pacifist and would order the use of military action as a last resort.

    Fabian Hamilton, from Labour's shadow foreign affairs team, told Radio 4's The World at One that people should not be "sceptical" about his leader having a change of heart, because all he was doing was "announcing a policy which has been collectively agreed by the party" who elected him.

    Boris Johnson was out and about campaigning in Newport on Friday and responded to Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn's comments that US President Trump "is a danger to the world".

    Mr Johnson told Channel 4 News: "If Jeremy Corbyn thinks that the way to maximise the UK is to go around wreaking the alliance between the UK and Washington, he is deluded." 

    The foreign secretary also said he stood by Vote Leave's battle bus's promise to send £350m saved from the EU to the NHS.

    However, an elderly voter told the news programme: "That was a load of you know what."

    Theresa May has said “we’re not aware of any evidence that patient data has been compromised”.

    The Prime Minister said she recognises that “increasingly we need to be aware of the need to address cyber security issues.”

    Mrs May said she is aware a number of NHS organisations have reported that they have suffered from a ransomware attack which she described as “an international attack” not just targeted at the NHS.

    She said the National Cyber Security Centre is working closely with NHS Digital “to ensure that they support the organisations concerned and they protect patient safety”.

    The health union UNISON says government ministers have act to counter the current malware attack on hospitals.

    The union's General Secretary Dave Prentis said tonight: “Staff are already facing huge challenges to keep the health service running and deliver the best care for patients.

    "This senseless cyber attack will make their jobs even harder. The government must take urgent action to get hospitals up and running again. They must also spend the cash to protect staff and patients from future incidents."

    Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt is being briefed by cyber security officials on the attack that has hit NHS computer systems across the country, according Reuters.

    A spokesman for Prime Minister Theresa May's office said: "Secretary of State Jeremy Hunt is being briefed by the National Cyber Security Centre and the prime minister is being kept briefed on the whole situation as well."

    There's no room for subtlety in Willie Rennie's world. 

    The Scottish Liberal Democrat leader attended a scrap yard in Fife on Friday and called on the SNP to "scrap" its plans for a second independence referendum. 

    Geddit?

    He says there should be a focus on education instead.

    "It is clear to me that if we can stop the SNP's independence referendum then we can force the Scottish Government to focus on education instead.

    "The last thing Scotland needs is another divisive independence referendum. It must be scrapped."

    Jeremy Corbyn has said should Labour win power on 8 June, he would do "everything necessary to protect the safety and security of our people and our country", stressing "that is our first duty". 

    In his speech to the Chatham House international affairs think tank, Mr Corbyn - a former chairman of the Stop the War Coalition - said he had campaigned for a more peaceful world all his life and still believed the UK's interests were best served by political and diplomatic resolutions to conflicts. 

    But Conservative candidate James Cleverly, who serves in the Territorial Army says the Labour leader's comments raises more questions than answers.
