    BBC Radio 4

Here's BBC political correspondent Leila Nathoo on Jeremy Corbyn's recent grilling about the IRA (full story here):

    Quote Message

Jeremy Corbyn's decades spent as a campaigning backbencher are - to his supporters - what demonstrates his authenticity and commitment to his principles. But questions about his links to the IRA during the Troubles have continued to dog him. Mr Corbyn was involved with the Republican-backed Troops Out campaign in the 1980s - at the height of the IRA's terror campaign - and met representatives of Sinn Fein in Westminster before the ceasefire. The Labour leader has previously refused to unequivocally condemn IRA violence - today on the Sophy Ridge on Sunday programme on Sky News, he was repeatedly challenged again."

Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale has admitted her party has been "squeezed" by the focus on constitutional issues.

Speaking earlier on Radio 5 Live's Pienaar's Politics, Ms Dugdale said: "If this was an election campaign about jobs, the economy and living standards we would be in a much stronger position."

She added: "Labour is against an independence referendum and against independence because of the turbo-charged austerity it would bring.

"Of course, we would much rather talk about jobs and living standards but for as long as it is about the constitution, we will campaign against independence and show people why the Union is the best mechanism we have to redistribute power and wealth across these islands."
