- Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the government's emergency response committee Cobra is meeting to discuss the recent floods. He cancelled a planned visit to a bakery in Glastonbury due to protests, and went to nearby Wells instead
- Home Secretary Priti Patel said the government is in the "early stages" of discussions with Australian authorities about copying parts of its points-based immigration system. The Tory party promise to reduce "immigration overall" to the UK after Brexit if it wins the election.
- Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has met supporters at the National Mining Museum in Scotland. Earlier, he called figures showing delays in A&E have hit their worst level since records began "disgusting".
- And in an interview with the BBC, Mr Corbyn ruled out an out "arbitrary" immigration target
- Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swinson pledged to revoke Article 50 "on day one" if she is elected to Number 10 during a visit to a Sikh temple in Glasgow. She weighed in on the immigration debate, external after Mr Corbyn said "not every dot and comma from conference" will be in its manifesto.
- The Brexit Party's prospective candidate in Dudley North announced he would not contest the election, despite party leader Nigel Farage's insistence it would contest every seat not held by the Conservatives.
- Nomination papers for candidates wanting to run for Parliament closed at 16:00 GMT.
