    Lord Trimble, the former first minister of Northern Ireland has suggested that more time would be needed for the political parties at Stormont to find agreement in the wake of Friday's election results.

    Lord Trimble said: "At the end of those two weeks if there isn't an administration put in place then the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland is on a legal obligation to dissolve the Assembly and have another general election which I doubt will get us anywhere."
