    For the first time in living memory, the UK is at the top of the leaderboard; while Ukraine is fifth.

    It's still too early to read anything into that... Sam Ryder's song, which nods to classic British rock by Queen and Elton John, was always bound to do well with juries of professional songwriters.

    Ukraine is expected to fare better in the public vote.

    But one thing is for certain, we won't be coming last again.
