  5. Streets swamped 'but nothing to drink'published at 20:53

    Robin Newton of Keswick told BBC News that he has had no supply of water all day.

    "We have been flooded but the majority of Keswick is out of water.

    "We had water first thing this morning but later there was nothing.

    "The local fire station has been handing out bottles of water but they have now run out.

    "I walked a quarter of a mile away into town this morning - the devastation has been unbelievable."

    Aside from the three bridges which have collapsed, Cumbria Police have said the following bridges are damaged and closed:

    - Miler bridge, Kendal – damaged remains closed

    - Greta Bridge B5289 – damaged remains closed

    - Hawes Bridge, Natland  - damaged remains closed

    - Clappersgate, Brathay - closed

    - Gowan bridge, Stavely – damaged remains closed

    - Bridge over River Eden in Appleby (Bridge St) - report that a section of this bridge has collapsed

    - Botcherby Bridge, Warwick Road, Carlisle - bridge inspection due shortly

    - Langwathby Bridge -  bridge inspection required before opening

    - Scroggs Bridge (North of Staveley over River Kent) – closed

    - Gote Bridge, Cockermouth -  Road closure at this location, inspection required

    - Jubilee Footbridge, Appleby -  Reports of very high water level potentially impacting on bridge

  9. Three bridges have collapsedpublished at 20:05

    Cumbria police have now confirmed that three bridges in the county have been "washed away" by the floods.

    A bridge near Braithwaite, Fitz Footbridge in Keswick, and Pooley Bridge in the Eden District have all collapsed.

    More remain closed or damaged and the police are reminding people to completely avoid bridges that are underwater until they have been checked and made safe, as they pose a "danger to life".

  10. 70 homes still without power in Walespublished at 19:54

    About 70 households are still without power in north Wales after heavy rain and high winds brought disruption.

    Engineers worked through the night and morning to restore electricity to 550 homes in Conwy and Corwen, Denbighshire after 700 lost power on Saturday.

    Overnight, firefighters pumped water from the cellars of properties in Beaumaris, Anglesey, as well as from the moat of the town's castle.

    Meanwhile, RNLI crews from north Wales are helping with flooding in Cumbria.

  15. Carlisle United FC's offer of helppublished at 19:48

    Here's a bit more detail on the Carlisle United football players who have offered to help victims of the floods.

    Carlisle's players volunteered their services after winning 5-0 at Welling on Sunday in the FA Cup second round.

    The club's home ground, Brunton Park, close to both the rivers Petteril and Eden, has been engulfed by flood water.

    "Every member of the squad has agreed that they want to help, if at all possible," Carlisle United said in posts on Twitter and Facebook.

  16. AA brings in 'special resources'published at 19:30

    The AA has 50 patrols in action across Cumbria and has brought in special 4x4 resources to help with more than 70 breakdowns.

    Edmund King, AA president, said: "Most of the roads are very hard to access due to submersion. In some areas where possible we are asking [customers] to call back once the flood water has subsided."
