We’ll soon be pausing our live coverage of the coronavirus pandemic. Before we go, here’s a round-up of today’s main headlines:
- Prime Minister Boris Johnson says it is "too early" to say whether England's Covid restrictions will be able to end in the spring
- The government has announced that from next week, there will be fines of £800 for anyone attending a house party of more than 15 people in England
- Lockdown restrictions in Northern Ireland will be extended until 5 March, the first and deputy first ministers have said. The move will be reviewed on 18 February
- Glastonbury Festival has been cancelled for a second year running due to the impact of the pandemic
- US President Joe Biden has signed 10 executive orders to tackle Covid, including accelerating vaccinations and increasing testing. Emergency legislation will be used to increase production of essentials like masks
- And French President Emmanuel Macron has promised all university students two meals a day for one euro (88p; $1.21) to help them cope during lockdown
