Yesterday, the Metropolitan Police said officers from the Counter Terrorism fugitive team had traced Abdul Shokoor Ezedi to a new last known location.

At 21:54 GMT on Wednesday he was seen travelling along London’s Upper Thames Street and then into Paul's Walk, near the Millennium Bridge.

He then passed the City of London School before heading towards Blackfriars Bridge.

His last sighting was at 22:04 the same evening, passing the Unilever building and heading towards Victoria Embankment.

What happened? Initial reports said a 31-year-old woman and her two young girls - aged three and eight - were injured after a "corrosive substance" was thrown at them on Lessar Avenue in Clapham, south London, last Wednesday at 19:25 GMT.

What do we know about the suspect? Police named the suspect as 35-year-old Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, thought to be from Afghanistan and who lives in Newcastle, north-east England. Detectives say he’s not the father of the injured woman’s children, but they’re still trying to ascertain the relationship between Ezedi and the woman.

Where is he? The attack took place at 19:25 - he then boarded a train, at 19:33, at the nearby Clapham South tube station. At 21:33 he was seen exiting Tower Hill tube station, and the last confirmed sighting was of him heading towards Victoria Embankment at 22:04.

What do police think? They said on Monday they had two working theories - that Ezedi is either being harboured from capture or has come to some harm.

Are the victims still in hospital? The mother remains sedated and in hospital, police have said, and there are concerns she may lose sight in one of her eyes. Her daughters, however, have been discharged and are recovering from their injuries.

A week after a mother and her two daughters were doused with an alkaline substance, police are continuing to search for their prime suspect.

Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, 35, was last spotted on Wednesday at 22:04 GMT - almost three hours after he’s thought to have launched the attack.

The 31-year-old woman who was injured remains sedated and in hospital, with police warning she may lose sight in her right eye. Her daughters have been discharged.

Policing minister Chris Philp told BBC News yesterday that "all resources" were being used to find Ezedi - but for now, he remains at large.
