    She says: "I was taking a lovely shot of the blue sky and clouds when this train got in the way!

    "It is, of course, the Flying Scotsman near Staxton today on her way from York to Scarborough on one of her test runs.

    First attempt to photograph a train moving!"

  4. London - York: Today's Flying Scotsman routepublished at 07:06 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2016

    The route takes in several points in Flying Scotsman's history, including its 'birthplace' in Doncaster and the stretch at Stoke Bank where it became the first steam locomotive to achieve an authenticated 100mph run.

    It will also require a couple of water stops.

    The times mentioned on the map below are estimates.

    Hello and welcome to the BBC's live page as we track Flying Scotsman's official return to the East Coast Mainline after a 10-year £4.2m restoration project.

    The legendary locomotive will be steaming up the country from London King's Cross to York and is due to set off at 07:40.

    It's due at arrive in York just before 12:30.
