    Even more amazing when you consider she had a four, eight and 11-year old in the car.

    The huge amount of traffic problems around Glastonbury have meant the festival website has been slimmed down.

    It is now only showing a warning from the police which "strongly advises" people to avoid travelling.

    "If you're planning to travel to the festival, please delay your journey," the warning continues.

    "If you've already left, then find somewhere to stop and wait until the traffic congestion situation improves."

    Time to find a tea shop, people.

    Traffic woes continue for people who are heading for this year's Glastonbury Festival.

    Gridlock, mud and more has prompted organisers to call on people to delay their journey to the Pilton site.

    If you're heading to the Glastonbury Festival, be warned, the traffic is a bit of a nightmare.

    Some people have been stuck in their cars upwards of seven hours. Here's the latest on the situation ...

    • Avon and Somerset Police is "strongly advising" people to avoid the area unless it is absolutely necessary
    • Heavy traffic reported on the A37 north and south of its junction with the A361
    • It is also congested south of the A351 to within a few miles of the A303
    • A temporary car park for camper vans has been set up at the Bath and West Showground - follow signs to drop and collect

    Festival-goers are being urged to delay their journey due to heavy traffic around the Glastonbury Festival site.

    Organisers said current wet weather and ground conditions were causing delays but they were doing everything they could to "deal with this situation".

    Festival founder Michael Eavis said: "We did ask people to come in later."

    The gates officially opened at 08:00 BST but people have been queuing for more than seven hours to get on to the site.

    Heavy rain and flooding has already turned parts of the site into a mud bath.

    The Festival has tweeted asking those travelling in caravans and campervans to make their way to the Bath and West showground as a temporary holding site has been set up there.

    Work to preserve one of the UK’s most unique maritime "museums" is taking place on the banks of the River Severn.

    The Purton ship graveyard is home to more than 80 scuttled ships, barges and boats but is in real danger of being lost to vandalism and tidal erosion.

    The ships were deliberately beached there to try to stop the banks of the canal from collapsing.

    Avoid wearing that poncho too soon. Glastonbury Festival has asked those heading to the farm to be patient as their gates do not open until 8am.

    If you haven't set off yet they suggest you sit tight until later on and if you're already driving to pull over and wait somewhere safe, warm and dry.

    A time capsule from 1977, found during the discovery of an unexploded World War Two bomb in Bath last month, will be opened later today.  

    The tin box was discovered inside a wall at the former Royal HIgh School, after being hidden there during the Queen's Silver Jubilee 39 years ago.

    The 500lb World War Two bomb was eventually defused and made safe on 13 May.

    The organisers of the Glastonbury Festival have tweeted some timely advice, external to people heading to Worthy Farm.

    It's because of the wet weather and the large number of people who have arrived before the gates are open.

    • If you are driving to the festival DO NOT set off yet
    • If you are already on the road then please stop somewhere safe and warm
    • Be aware that if you are travelling by coach or train your journey may take longer than usual
    • Please remember all entertainment starts on Friday

    Good morning from BBC Local Live for the West Country, we will be here until 10pm tonight with all the latest news, travel and weather.

    A word of warning if you're on the roads, the Glastonbury Festival begins today and traffic in the area is already heavy as festival-goers are rocking up early.  

    As for the weather it's a cloudy start for many across the county, with outbreaks of rain. 

    Otherwise it will be rather cloudy with a few bright spells at times. Maximum Temperature: 21 Deg C (70 Deg F)
