    Luton chairman David Wilkinson believes the achievement of reaching the Premier League might not fully sink in until the fixtures for next season come out.

    He has been chairman since 2018, when the club were in League Two and has seen three promotions since then.

    "I've been coming to Kenilworth Road for 65 years. I think the board have got over 300 years of supporting the club [between them]," he says.

    "We're Luton people, that's what we care about and this is another part of the journey."

    "The impact of being in the Premier League will be massive for this town," Hatters chief executive Gary Sweet tells the crowd.

    Sweet now has to oversee redevelopment work at Kenilworth Road in time for next season, prior to the planned move to a new 23,000-seater stadium at Power Court in 2024-25.

    Events have been paused on a few occasions as those on the elevated main stage have spotted someone in the crowd in need of assistance.

    Medical teams are on site and are shown where they are needed to go.

    It's warm out there and many people will have been on their feet for hours.

    Before arriving at St George's Square, there was a roar from the bus and it was the sound of midfielder Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu's dreams coming true.

    "He wanted some KFC so someone has just been lifted up to pass Pelly his KFC," explains goalkeeper Jack Walton.

    "What he's done for the club, what wants, he gets.

    "He's been a legend to the club, a great servant, and the fans love him as well."

    Carlton Morris, who has scored 20 goals this season, is to miss the team's celebratory trip to Las Vegas this week because his fiancee is due to give birth.

    But he's loving every minute of today.

    "It's breathtaking," he says.

    "I've got the same feeling now as I did standing to take that penalty.

    "It's incredible the turnout today - I know these people work so hard to come out and see us on a Saturday.

    "For us to give back thanks today and see them line the streets today is incredible."
