    Our reporter Adam Paylor has been out filming a sinkhole in Caversham this morning.

    It is believed the hole has caused some cracks to the outside of a nearby house.

    The property has been cordoned off by firefighters and people are being asked to move their cars. We will bring you more updates when we have them.

    The prime minister will be curled up on the sofa watching traditional British TV on Christmas Day.

    While being a fan of "Scandi dramas" like Borgen, Theresa May told the Radio Times, external she'd tune in to Doctor Who and "a nice Agatha Christie".

    Earlier in the day, she'll have a drink with friends before helping churches in her Berkshire constituency who provide lunch for elderly people.

    The PM also said she enjoys Strictly Come Dancing, but wouldn't take part.

    There has been a delay to the opening of a temporary ice rink set to provide skating facilities while a nearby permanent facility is being revamped.

    Slough Borough Council commissioned the rink to allow regular users of Slough Ice Arena to continue the sport after the facility closed on 1 November.

    The replacement had been due to open on 17 December but the authority said it is yet to agree contracts.

    It said it was unable to provide a new date until the contracts were agreed.

  9. Appeal after man goes missing from Sloughpublished at 07:59 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2016

    Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public's help in tracing a missing man from Burnham Beeches, Slough.

    James White, aged 45, was reported missing on Sunday. He was last seen by a neighbour on the 29 November 2016.

    James is described as white, around 5ft 7ins tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

    He was last seen wearing a green/blue Barbour style jacket, black jogging bottoms, dark coloured work boots, a black bobble hat, and was seen carrying a dark green Bergen bag.
