  1. Murder 'could have been prevented'published at 08:50

    The murder of a mother-of-three by her estranged husband could have been prevented, an inquiry has found. 

    Sana Shah suffered years of abuse from her husband Anwar - not their real names - who later admitted killing her in Wolverhampton in March 2014. 

    Risk assessments about her welfare were poor, or not picked up resulting in interventions not being made, the report said. 

    Several recommendations have been made to the Safer Wolverhampton Partnership.  

  2. Fortnightly rubbish collection for Walsall residentspublished at 08:31

    From next year people living in Walsall will have their rubbish collected every fortnight instead of every week. 

    Councillors approved the plans after a consultation, external, but households with more than three people in it can apply for a bigger one if they can prove they need it.

    The new collections are due to begin in October 2016.
