  9. Wolves transfer window: Difficult to find quality players for a reasonable pricepublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2016

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM Sport

After much patience – and some impatience – from their supporters, Wolves are finally getting some transfer business done in the final week of the window.

Mike Williamson strengthened the Wolves defence in his loan spell before Christmas, bringing the knowledge and experience clearly needed, despite the sterling efforts of young Ethan Ebanks-Landell in the meantime.

Golbourne has been first-choice left-back for most of his two-and-a-half seasons with Wolves, but has only made the bench in recent weeks and now returns to his firstclub.

Wolves will surely need to make further additions before the end of the window on Monday if they are to maintain a credible challenge for the play-offs.

If actually we're at the stage in this city were our housing provision is so bad that we can't accommodate 50 to 500 people who are fleeing terrorists, then there is a problem with our housing situation which we need to deal with for all Brummies - never mind those who seek to become Brummies."

John Clancy, leader of Birmingham City Council

Yesterday a group of 19 Syrian refugees arrived in the city under a scheme to help the most vulnerable people.
