    A group of 59 schoolchildren and seven teachers from the Black Country escaped a coach that burst into flames on a motorway.

    Four 10-year-old girls were taken to hospital after the blaze broke out on the M6 near Coleshill, Warwickshire, at about 15:40 yesterday.

    Thirteen children and the driver were treated for smoke inhalation, although none were thought to be badly hurt.

    A £20m plan to expand a major West Midlands tourist attraction has been revealed.

    Bosses at the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley want to increase its size by a third.

    Proposals include creating a new 1940s'-style town complete with a pub and library.

    One lane is closed and there is queuing traffic on the M6 southbound between J7, for Great Barr, and J6, for the A38(M), because of a broken down lorry and a spillage on the road.

    Travel time is at least 30 minutes, drivers are warned.
