We have now heard of another school closure tomorrow - this one a partial closure.
The Phoenix Collegiate in West Bromwich will be closed to Year 7, 8 and 9 students on Wednesday due to further flooding.
The school will be open as normal for all other year groups and staff. It said it had told the local authority and was in the process of texting parents and updating the school website.
The school also had to partially close during flash flooding last week.
Delays to trains running through Birmingham are expected to last until 19:00.

The 'major incident' at Heartlands Hospital due to the flooding of A&E is "a result of intense rain", its trust says.
Patients were "transferred safely" to other parts of the hospital to be treated.
Other people needing emergency treatment are being asked to visit "nearest alternative emergency departments, minor injuries unit or walk-in centre".
Anyone with life-threatening injuries is advised to call 999 as usual.
Heartlands Hospital has declared a major incident due to flooding in its A&E department.

West Midlands Fire Service said it took 120 "weather-related calls" in two hours on top of its other calls.
They included:
- "Large" flooding at Heartlands Hospital. The service said it was "working to protect patient care"
- A lightning strike to a TV aerial in Upper Gornal which caused a fire affecting three properties although no one was injured
- Five people rescued from three stranded vehicles on Landor Street, Nechells
The Environment Agency is warning today might not be the last of the flooding to hit Birmingham and the Black Country.
