    She was asked "the key allegation is that you abused the trust of those who elected you to represent them. Did you?" 

    ''No" she replied, adding "I wanted to be different, and show it was possible to positively represent people, no-one could accuse me of being motivated by money."

    "Were you in it for the money?" asked the barrister.  Her reply was: "Absolutely not."

    Queen Victoria's visit to Wolverhampton 150 years ago is being marked this week.

    She was there to unveil the statue of her late husband Prince Albert, which is still in Queen Square.

    The government has announced it's creating a foreign investment hub in Birmingham, close to Birmingham Airport. 

    When it's set up, the "Midlands Engine hub" will be expected to create 1,400 jobs and bring in £15m of investment over the next three years. 

    Companies will also be able to bid for a share of a £2m "challenge fund" designed to boost the local economy.
