    A murder investigation was launched after she was discovered in Aubrey Road yesterday.

    A 20-year-old man, arrested in Stoke -on-Trent, remains in hospital, police said, and officers are expecting to interview him once he is discharged.

    His injuries are not life-threatening, said West Midlands Police.

    Six Poundworld stores in the West Midlands are among another 80 branches which will be closed, the company's administrators have said.

    The latest announcement means that 105 of the company's 335 stores are now earmarked for closure, including the one in Crewe, Cheshire.

    The closures in this region include two in both Coventry and Shrewsbury and one in Burton upon Trent and Bloxwich, resulting in 85 job losses.

    They're set to shut by 22 July.

    Poundworld went into administration last month after failing to cope with rising costs, fewer shoppers and greater competition.

    Shares in the Birmingham-based chain, external, which has 447 stores and concessions and an online business, have been priced at 160 pence each and the sale will raise £65.2m.

    The Works will retain £28.5m, with the rest going to shareholders.

    The company said it would use the money to repay debt.

    It's expected that dealing will begin on 19 July.

    More needs to be done to help disabled passengers at Birmingham, Manchester, London Gatwick and London Stansted airports according to the Civil Aviation Authority.

    Manchester was the only airport rated "poor", but the other three have been told they "need improvement".

    Birmingham, Gatwick and Stansted had been marked down for failing to provide sufficient information about their standards of service, the CAA said.

    In its annual report on accessibility, it said all three airports were taking action to remedy these problems.

    The CAA said there were now more than three million requests for disability assistance at UK airports annually - a rise of nearly 80% since 2010.

    Meat that has fallen on the floor at a major UK chicken supplier "is now being swept up" and "nothing is getting back on to conveyor belts", an MP says.

    Members of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Committee visited the 2 Sisters Food Group's West Bromwich plant on Thursday morning.

    The committee launched an inquiry into 2 Sisters, which has 12 UK sites, after undercover reporters alleged a range of food safety breaches - leading Marks and Spencer, Aldi, Lidl and the Co-op to stop taking chickens from the West Bromwich plant.

    Neil Parish MP, the committee's chairman, told the BBC: "Meat that may have fallen on the floor is now being swept up and put into waste."

    Citing Food Standards Agency visits, on-site CCTV and labeling improvements, Mr Parish said "there has been a real tightening up of the operation and that's what our inquiry was about".

    He added: "I think [2 Sisters has] learned a lot of lessons - I think they needed to and they've done it."
