People in a Herefordshire village who say they've been cut off from the rest of the world by a long-running road closure have formed their own action group.

The main road into Symonds Yat West was shut in June because of a collapsing wall, forcing residents on one side of the village to use the narrow, potholed, Ferrie Lane.

It is only just wide enough for one car and is on the edge of a steep drop into the River Wye.

The group aims to pressure Herefordshire Council into action before the winter, when they fear the road will become even more dangerous.

Herefordshire Council said it wants to get the road reopened as soon as possible, and is working with the owner of the wall to have it removed.
