    A YMCA centre is set to get £100,000 to help develop "new, affordable housing" for young people.

    Telford and Wrekin Borough Council's set the money aside for the youth charity in Wellington, external, on condition it secures additional funding for the scheme.

    The YMCA wants to use the cash to create 13 units of what it calls "transitional housing".

    It says they'll be used to give young adults a place to live with the intention that they'll move into the mainstream housing market within a couple of years.

    Businesses in Coventry wanting to improve their food hygiene rating will now have to pay £190 to have their premises re-inspected.

    Re-inspections have always been free but a change in policy has allowed local authorities in England to introduce a charge – a move Coventry City Council has now enforced.

    Charges were approved at a meeting on Thursday and will be enforced from 1 April.

    Highways England is removing the Burton Bank Footbridge between J13 and J14 near Stafford as part of its ongoing project to turn that part of the M6 into a "smart motorway".

    It says that due to the curved shape of the 140-tonne-crossing, lorries wouldn't be able to get underneath when the hard shoulder becomes a running lane.

    Highways England is planning to start lane restrictions from 17:00 tomorrow before a full closure of both carriageways from 20:00, with the M6 then set to be reopened at some point on Sunday.

    This will be the second bridge removed on the motorway in Staffordshire after the 95ft Creswell Home Farm bridge was demolished in September.

    Presenter Radzi Chinyanganya will leave Blue Peter after spending five and a half years on the children's programme.

    The 32-year-old from Wolverhampton was the show's 37th presenter when he replaced Helen Skelton in October 2013.

    He announced the news last night on Instagram, describing his time on the show as "a genuine childhood dream come true".

    He said: "I'll always be grateful for the experiences I've had, the people I've met and the relationships I've made."
