    West Bromwich Albion's hopes of closing the gap on the top three in the Championship suffered a blow as they lost 3-2 at Bristol City.

    Play-off hopefuls City stunned Albion by going 3-0 up inside 19 minutes and, while the Baggies fought back in the second half, they suffered defeat.

    The result leaves them seven points off third-placed Sheffield United with five games to go.

    Elsewhere in the Championship, Stoke City's unbeaten run ended with a 3-1 defeat at Swansea City which saw defenders Bruno Martins Indi and Tom Edwards both sent off.

    In League One, Burton Albion held second-placed Sunderland to a 1-1 draw.

    Highways England says the carriageway is completely closed southbound while they work to clear the liquid, leading to delays of almost two hours., external

    A woman was forced to hand over the keys to her car by four masked men in a Coventry supermarket car park.

    The men drove off in the vehicle after the carjacking in Brade Drive, Walsgrave, shortly after 15:00 on Sunday.

    In a separate incident at about 19:30, a man dragged a woman in her 20s from her car on Foleshill Road. He also drove off in the stolen vehicle.

    West Midlands Police recently warned the public to be vigilant, saying it had seen a "significant rise" in the number of attacks in the city.

    An increasing number of West Midlands Police officers are being issued with more powerful Tasers in a move which the force claims will improve public safety.

    The plan is to double the number of emergency response officers armed with the devices.

    A spokesperson says the upgraded weapon fires two sets of barbs at a greater velocity, allowing the weapon to penetrate clothing.

    The kit, set to be used by about 1,400 officers eventually, would allow police to protect greater sections of society, he said.
