    The Conservatives have lost control of Malvern Hills, shedding 10 seats on the council.

    The Liberal Democrats made the biggest gains, winning four seats to become the second biggest party.

    The Greens picked up two seats to hold five, Labour one, and there are now 10 independent councillors on the council.

    They lost seven seats, while Labour gained six and independents gained two.

    The Tories have 34 seats in all now and Labour is the second largest party with 10.

    The Conservatives have retained control of Solihull Council, despite seeing their majority cut to one.

    They have lost six seats, while the Green Party gained three, the Lib Dems two and Labour and Independents one each.

    The Tories have 26 seats, with the Green party being the second largest with 14.

    Warwick District Council is now under no overall control, with the Conservatives seeing losses to the Liberal Democrats and Green Party.

    The leaders of the Conservative and Labour groups both lost seats in the election.

    The Conservatives are still the largest party, however, with 19 councillors - but lost 10 seats compared with 2015.

    It's looking like the Conservatives will lose control of Warwick District Council, with the council leader losing his seat.

    They so far have 16 seats with six still to declare - they need 23 for a majority.

    The boundaries were redrawn for this election, which could have played a large part in the results.

    Council leader Andrew Mobbs has lost his seat to a Green Party candidate.

    So far the Greens have eight seats, Whitnash Residents Association have three, Labour have five and the Lib Dems have six.

    Herefordshire Independents are now the largest party on the unitary authority, holding 18 seats.

    The Conservatives have lost control after being in power for 12 years, and now hold just 13 seats - 15 fewer than in 2015.

    Dudley Council's Conservative group leader Patrick Harley says the party has had a "very good night" when compared with results elsewhere across the country.

    In Dudley, both parties now have 36 seats, leaving the local authority under no overall control.

    However, the Tory mayor will have the casting vote when it comes to deciding who will lead the council in a vote later this month.

    At the time of writing the Conservatives have lost control of 17 councils in England, although the Labour party has largely failed to make the gains it perhaps hoped.

    John Riley took the Avenue ward seat from the Conservatives by a majority of 109 votes.

    He said he was a left a "little bit surprised" by the result which he described as "historic".
