The prospect of Coventry City spending another two seasons in Birmingham hasn't gone down well with the Sky Blue Trust.
The club's chief executive Dave Boddy warned fans at a supporters meeting that this was a real possibility, but a board member of the fans group, Neil White, said this was "utterly bewildering".
Mr White said the club's owners needed to get back around the table with Wasps, who own the Ricoh Arena, to agree a deal to bring the team back to Coventry.
Mr Boddy said the football club was still in contact with Wasps, with the hope that talks can resume at some point.

The authority said the dry spell led to to less garden waste being collected and explained that makes up about half of its recycling target overall.
Solihull is aiming to recycle, reuse or compost half of all rubbish by 2020, but Kalen Wood, head of waste and recycling, said: “I think it’s important to note that this isn’t a unique position to Solihull, a lot of other local authorities have either seen a reduction in their recycling rate or have started to plateau."
A national change also saw wood waste banned from recycling.

Babies born by Caesarean section have dramatically different gut bacteria to those born vaginally, according to the largest study in the field.
The study - by the University of Birmingham, Wellcome Sanger Institute and UCL- assessed how the microbiome forms when we leave our mother's sterile womb and enter a world full of bugs.
The scientists say these early encounters with microbes may act as a "thermostat" for the immune system.
And they may help explain why Caesarean babies are more likely to have some health problems later in life.
The researchers stress women should not swab babies with their vaginal fluids - known as "vaginal seeding".
