There is now only a month left until the 31 October deadline for the UK to leave the European Union.

The government has been running a Brexit Roadshow to help businesses prepare. But while some companies are engaged, some are not.

"I think it's a real mix," says Henrietta Brealey, director of policy and strategic relationships at the Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.

She tells Wake Up to Money: "There are some businesses who have been being very proactive over the last couple of years and have been absorbing every possible bit of information about Brexit and putting in contingency plans and taking steps to prepare for months now.

"There are a proportion of businesses that are still effectively ignoring it, going 'it is too complicated. Whatever happens will happen, We'll adjust and adapt as soon as it comes through'."

Following a recent Brexit risk assessment that the Birmingham Chambers of Commerce carried out, Ms Brealey says: "Around 39% had done a thorough Brexit risk assessment, 57% hadn't and of those who hadn't, around 60% don't intend to use these remaining weeks up to the 31 October to prepare."
