The skyline of Shropshire is set to change today when four power station cooling towers are demolished.
The landmark quartet at the former Ironbridge Power Station are scheduled to come down at 11:00.
However, site owner Harworth Group Plc has said adverse weather conditions or other circumstances might cause a delay or postponement.
The four towers have been part of the landscape since 1969 and their expected passing has already been marked with a special musical performance in one of the structures.

A man suspected of stealing a vehicle from a Bournville driveway was found by a police dog hiding in a brook.
The Mini Clubman was taken from outside a property in the early hours.
Within minutes the vehicle crashed in nearby Merritts Brook Lane, police said.

Hyde Peters was also forced to relinquish her roles on the board of directors for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games team, a position she took up last September, and from a more recent post on the athletes' advisory committee.
Birmingham 2022 CEO Ian Reid told the Press Association: "Zara contacted us and informed our chairman it was her intention to resign, to the Secretary of State, from her position on the board and from the athletes' advisory committee. It was her decision.
"We're now looking for a replacement. It's a government process, so it won't happen overnight," he added.

Strikes on West Midlands Trains services have been suspended by a union so it can hold a vote on a new offer.
Rail, Maritime and Transport union members have walked out for several Saturdays before Christmas over guards on trains.
The RMT general secretary Mick Cash said today, external said the strikes were suspended from this weekend after it received an improved offer from the firm on the future role of guards.
He added the union had recommended members accept the deal.
