    Police are cracking down on anti-social behaviour in Shrewsbury.

    West Mercia Police said there has been a spate of vandalism and break-ins throughout the town centre and the Quarry over the last two weeks.

    In order to tackle the issue, it said it increased the number of officers on shift in the area, and more officers will be on late night patrols.

    Ch Insp Mark Reilly said: "I'd like to reassure the public that we understand what a negative affect this has on the community and we are taking the issue extremely seriously.
